Yes, ManageFusion is no more. They are integrating it into the Symantec Vision Conference - which is also in Vegas.
This stinks Our employers will never let us go to Vegas. Bad PR. Orlando was close and we could drive. So I guess I have gone to my last conference.:banghead:
Compared to the last two years in Vegas, I thought this one was way under par. A lot of the sessions had quite a bit of overlap in their topics/discussion, and there were even a couple where the first thing the presenters said was that nothing was changed with the presentation since Orlando. (3 people subsequently left after that). Even the Symantec booths outside the ballroom were rarely fully staffed. The evening events and venue in general were probably the only best parts of the conference. Some people that I talked to said that Symantec Vision isn't really like ManageFusion at all. If this year's MF was any representation of what's to come in the future I won't be as eager to go. I hate to slam it like that, but I've seen how good it can be and this year missed the mark by a lot.
Sucks that MF is no longer. Orlando was just a 2 hour drive away. I heard that the format for MF and Vision are very different. I asked how different. And this was what I got.
I was told... At the last Orland,FL ManageFusion that they attempted a combo ManageFusion/Vision conference in Europe and it was a disaster -the typical crowd for ManageFusion showed up and were not amused with the content being very high level and not dealing with the nuts and bolts. Let's hope that they will learn from that lesson or inevitably they will learn....
