Thank you both Almanza and GeoMac,
I checked the properties settings on the compiled exe file but it didn't have any setting to modify the display the way I wanted it. So... I found one of those free utilities you mentioned and I was able to compile the vbs file into an exe. The utility is called vbstoexe.
