What do you need to know about the server name?

Our command to install the ns part of it on mac looks something like this

uncompress aex-bootstrap.Z && chmod u+x aex-bootstrap && sudo ./aex-bootstrap http://servername.domain.int(possibly .com)

you will need the aex-bootstrap file however, you should be able to find this on your server.

perform the above command from the terminal on a mac machine.

bootstrap pains

Caley,

I'm having an issue... I'm running the bootstrap with your format but I keep getting this message...

NS Name Specified in both config file and command line. Using file, NS used will be: LS63ALT

LS63alt is the name of my NS server alright, but it errors out saying it can't resolve the host LS63ALT and I think thats because it needs ls63alt.my.domain.com

The only problem is that no matter what I put after ./aex-bootstrap it wants to keep using the config file and keeps trying to resolve LS63ALT

got any ideas?

Found It

After much playing around I found a simple work around... Its a hack but it works!

just add your NS server to the /etc/hosts file, this will ensure a link to your NS
