Windows Key stuck when remoting?

I'm having the strangest issue I've ever seen with any product.

When I use Carbon Copy to control some computers the windows key is stuck in the on position. So typing letters will activate shortcut functions. S to save, E to open My computer, D to minimize all windows, etc.

Has anyone ever seen this before?

I've heard of something like this a long time ago but I'm not digging anything up.

Does this happen if you pull up th Start\Accessories\Accessability keyboard and use the onscreen keyboard.

when I turned that on everything went back to operating normally.

I seem to remember some time ago that there was an accessability option that would simulate a caps-lock type function for shift and control keys. I'm wondering if this could be the same thing.

Yeah I remember something like that as well but it's "fuzzy" to me.
