Server 2008 with 6.8SP2

Hi can someone advise please.

Can a 2008 server be used for PXE? My Deployment Console 6.8 SP2 will still be on a 2003 Server.

I have tried but getting PXE-E53 error.
DHCP is on the same server and no Subnet, VLan issues.

Cheers

Stewfo

You probably need IPHelpers.

There are lots of posts on PXE-E53. Do a search to get some specific answers.

Hi Jen thanks for the reply, i have read a few threads about PXE-E53 and nothing really relates to my problem.

Its seems to be a problem with server 2008, l have put in a temp 2003 server and the client can see the PXE no problem.

Would it be port blocking or some form of enhanced security with 2008.

Cheers

So I just ran into the same problem on server 2008 64 bit. One of the most frustrating changes with 2008 is that the FW is enabled by default with a new install, after disabling it the PXE server/service started working for me!!!
