Add a new computer from the command line?

Using Deployment server 6.9 SP2

Windows PE boot environment

I have written a custom front end for our techs to use that calls axsched to deploy jobs right out of the PE envorionment such as pulling images and what not and it is working great to pull images for machines that already exist in the console.

My question is .. is there a way to add a computer that doesn't exist already from the command line? Yes I know I could use initial deployment, but due to some things on our enviroment and the way things are done .. I need this to be able to be done from the PE boot CD and a command line ... if possible and to make it easy on the techs and not have them pre-stage it in the console then boot to the CD.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you looked into leveraging the ASDK to prestage computer objects?

If you want CLI - AltirisASDKDS.exe would do what you need.

Check out the ComputerManagement class.
