Do you have a DB Backup? Once they are gone; there's no archive table, they are just gone.
The method for selecting multiple incidents should be improved in Sp3. As you discovered all those that are found in the search string are deleted.
Sorry

Thanks for the quick reply
I can go to last nights back up tapes. Is it possible just to recover the specific deleted incidents? So I don't lose todays jobs?

There must be a way to do it, though I'm not experienced in this myself.
Hey all, any SQL Server Admins know how to restore a few rows to a table? Jim prolly knows
If you can find just those deleted entries from the "workitem" table, that's all you'll need to restore. All views should be updated.

If you could share the process on how you recovered I'm sure that there would be someone that would find it useful.
Glad to hear you were able to get it back.

Ok, I'm not an expert in SQL but here’s the basics:
There are two options to bring the back up database back onto SQL server :
Recover the entire database and rename it. (Jump to step 5)
or
Recover the backup from the tape and saved the .log and.mdf files (ours where name Altiris_Incidents ).
- Create a new DB in SQL with fresh (new) logs and mdf.
- Replace the .log and .mdf with the backup logs and mdf that you recovered.
- Attach the database back.
- Import the recovered db table workitem into the altiris _incident DB and rename it when importing Ã* workitem2.
- Turn index off on the table workitem
- Insert the rows for the lost jobs. (we did ours via workitem user ID, as we lost all of a workers jobs) and insert the rows.
Hope this helps.
