How do you install the Linux inventory agent manually?

Hi All,

Is there a way to install the linux inventory agent manually?

I've got the basic NS agent on my linux servers, however the inventory agent won't install because our remote package servers don't use IIS, we're using altiris HTTP instead (security related issues, due to our package servers sitting on DC's)

So I need to know how to install the inventory agent manually. I'm guessing it's going to be some sort of gunzip & chmod command line, but i'm still learning Linux so could use some help

The builds of Linux i'm using are RHEL 3 and RHEL 5. I know 5's not officially supported, but the agents working on 10 of my RHEL 5 servers in head office - which have the inventory agent because my NS box does use IIS.

Thanks,

Solved my own problem

As I suspected it was an upload, extract and chmod Got it working on a coulpe of my boxes - just looking at scripting it now as I have 170 remote servers left to install it on.
