SMTP Server settings

Is there any where besides the main email settings in NS to add a SMTP server for the monitor solution alerts? The notifications used to go out from a server other than our exchange server but the guy who had configured it is no longer here, we had removed it due to the fact we didnt have licensing for it and now we want to add it back in. Basically what I am looking to do it make it so the email alerts for monitor solution are sent by a different SMTP server than my exchange server, this is so if there is a problem with the exchange server the messages can be sent via sms.

Nah. Monitor Solution SMTP settings come from the parent NS. With that being said, both Monitor 6 and 7 allow you to trigger script executions when a threshold is hit. For the sake of arguement, you will need to leverage a VBscript with the appropriate SMTP settings to mail your alerts.
