Performance Monitor cannot be lanched??
Hello,
I installed Altiris Monitor Solution for Altiris Infrastructure 6.0.1057 and Altiris Monitor Solution for Servers (6.0.1337).
Should I install Altiris Monitor Solution from Microsoft SQL Server as well (6.0
?? If so anything else to add?
I tried to launch Altiris Performance Monitor but the server could not connect.
The settings have been enabled:
- Notification Server Monitor Metric Installation: All Servers (I checked on the server the "Altiris Monitor Agent" is started so running...
- Windows Monitor Agent Configuration: All Windows Servers is enabled but the database is "master" which seems correct on a SQL view but is it correct on an Altiris view?
- All Computers with Monitor Agent Installed has the four servers.
- Altiris Monitor Agent is in the Altiris Agent pane
- Altiris Monitor Solution Plug-In Stub as well
- "Altiris Monitor Agent" service is started ...
I am getting an error "Failed to connect to the Altiris Monitor Agent: Request to GetAllMetricNames to Monitor Agent for client altiris3 (main NS Name) had failed. The Altiris Monitor Agent may be initializing or not running Please retry in a few minutes and verify that the Altiris Monitor Agent is installed and running on agent machine."
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hello,
I was able to onnect from the Main NS to a Second NS but not able to connect from the Main NS to iself... still the same error. It happens in the two environment I have, I am able to connect to other servers but not the one used for the connection...
The solution has been installed with the Application Identity
I don't see the processes AeXSMAdetector.exe and AeXSMLogUpdate.exe on tghe Main servers themselves!!!
Thanks
