PXE press F8

Hi,

I've a problem with PXE.
Pxe is installed on server1 and dhcp runs on server2.

When I attempt to reinstall a computer which is already on the databse It still wants me to press F8 during PXE boot on my production LAN.

For my test LAN (Server, switch + PC) it works fine a known computer boots directly to WINPE if a job is assign to the computer.

Is there an option to set somewhere or an IP helper to configure ?

Thanks

If I remember right, you're probably seeing the F8 message because the DS has an entry for that particular PC already.

Within the PXE Configuration Utility, you should be able to set a timeout on the DS tab so after x number of seconds, it will continue to the next boot device.

We have our machines set to PXE boot first, but have the timeout set to 3 seconds so they'll continue to boot from the hard drive. This gives us the option of remotely reimaging PC's, should the need arise.

On your imaging task, did you specify an automation pre-boot environment to run in?

Our imaging script is set to run in "WinPE Automation (Auto-select)" and I'm not able to re-create your scenario.

Hi,

Yes my job is configured to run under Winpe.

I think problem comes by something blocked by switches on the network.
