Asset Guy

I have computer records of the Computer Asset Type and the Virtual Computer Asset Type that have the same name. Many records were imported as computers but now that the agent is installed they are being reported as virtual machines which they actually are. Going forward, these entries will be imported as as the asset types that they will actually be (computer or virtual); however, I need to get past this issue.

Does anyone know how I can merge these two Asset Types. I have data that was populated with the computer upon import that I need to maintain in the virtual machine so deleting the record that is a computer asset type is not an option. I'm using SMP 7 sp2
