How to force elevator to go straight to the floor you want.

I was surfing and came across THIS website.

It shows how to use a built in bypass on elevators to force them to go straight to the floor you specify (no stopping at other floors).

To summarize it for those that may not want to go to the site. Hold the button for the floor you want to go to and the close door button at the same time for about six seconds.

I haven't tried this myself but would be interested if anyone can confirm it.

I can confirm this!

It doesn't work on ALL elevators, but I've had it work in some hotels, big business buildings, etc. There's certain brands that work better than others.

If I remember correctly, this was in a 2600 issue not too long ago.

Oh...and HI PEOPLES!! Long time, no see!

A friend of mine used to install lifts and has confirmed to me before that this will work on some lifts.

I'm not sure you need to use the close door button, just keep your finger on the button for the floor you want.

I work on the top floor in my building. I wonder if this will get me to my floor without any stops in between... wait, this building only has 2 floors!

I will try it in the next building over which has 6 floors and let you know how it goes.

I think it's only effective beyond 10 floors.

Wink

Hey 933,

You should be taking the stairs in a two floor building ...and that trick works where I am when and if I take the lift!
