Rollback everyone

Does anyone know how one of my techs could have initiated a rollback for all RS Clients. We have 48 systems managed and were attempting to rollback 1 system through the console. This was a rollback to a new system as the previous system had hardware failure. 25 systems successfully rolled back to the latest backup.

Thanks,

I missed that. In this case, the tech was using a collection on the shortcuts tab. The rollback option is there for individual PCs but not collections. The original collections have the rollback option. Likely a permissions issue.

So either the user attempted the rollback from another collection where they had those rights, and didn't tell me, or Altiris errored and didn't quite know what to do.

Can the rollback collection be blocked/granted separately from rollback PC?

This should make for some fun testing.

Any chance that all of those machines have the same NSGuid? Check the SBS table; is the NSWrkstaGuid column the same for all 25 machines? This can happen if your image includes the Altiris Agent and the GUID for the machine isn't cleared before the image is taken. There is a KB article describing how to image with the Altiris Agent installed.
