Software Inventory Report

Hello!

I have recently been tasked with reporting some of our inventoried software data.

What is requested:

1. Apps discovered by manufacturer
2. Corresponding application version
3. Computer Name (duplicates are ok)
4. Computer's primary user

I know all this data is kept by inventory solution, and the canned *manufacturer/product/version/count* report almost works for this. Is there an easy way to expand the count into the list of computer names, and/or an easy way to list the computer's primary user in a report w/o drilling down into a specific machine?

I've got a pretty decent broad-spectrum of how this all works, but spend almost all my time in helpdesk and deployment solution. All help is greatly appreciated!

Basic Reports

Any of the 'canned' reports can be cloned by right-clicking on them and then selecting Clone.

I generally copy my customised versions to their own folder and modify them.

Some knowledge of SQL is required to do this. You can also use the report wizard. It's pretty easy to create some basic reports.
