Sysprep and Joining Domain

I have recently been tasked with setting up the HII and have found much help with the HII Tools version 3.2.1. This is working fairly well except the sysprep part isnt joining computers to the domain UNLESS they were previously in the database. I have read some things about replacing some tokens to get it work but does anyone have a method for doing this currently?

How about using a modify settings task after your image is deployed and sysprep has run. That will allow you to change network settings such as the domain.

ya thats what I am using now but its like 2-3 reboots to do that. Then if we want to change the name later another reboot. Its fine and wont kill me but would shave time off the image.

When it fails to join the domain, what error is returned in the sysprep log files for the domain join?

Are you attempting to join the domain with a specific OU are a simple domain join?

Simple join, I dont know where the logs are ha, also it looks like either sysprep or hii tools is delete most of the sysprep folder, so if they are in there they get deleted.

The alternative is to use the sysprep file to do this, but if it's accessible to anyone else, there's a security risk as the user name and password used to join are plain text.

The Change configuration job in our environment only required one reboot to join the system to the domain.
